Fecund Day of Christmas

And so here we are on Black Friday Boxing Day, or more correctly, from the old Pagan calander which I will be following henceforth, Satyr-Day, which in the Very Olden Days was celebrated as the day when half men half horses took to the streets. Sorry I'll have to interrupt myself here to record that Forest are winning 2-0 at Southampton, with 10 minutes to go, make that three, nails being bitten , well not as such but you know what I mean.

As I have explained to a number of football people, who dismiss the notion out of hand, this match is a clear 12 pointer, since Southampton are one place above Forest in the league table, hence a six point differential, but in addition it is at Southampton, thus add three for psychological damage to the home side, and then a further three for the overall psychological boost for Forest, making 12 in total. Simple really!

Fecund - the word jus oozes a sweaty, lusty sort of creativity - exactly what is needed to produce the baby jesus, and all those lovely Bible Stories, especially the Old Testament. Now there was a good book, and we're getting some of the best bits on the truly awesome Hallelujah (Jeff Buckley version of course) - she tied you to the kitchen chair, etc. and the rooftop bathing sounds good to me too. And I have an idea that they didn't have Christmas in the Old Testament, (stands to reason) so is it really the right choice for a Christmas song?!

Anyway, today is a Fecund good day to be alive.
