Fire Flood and Petulance

So, lets see, Wales just about beat the tiny Azerbaijan, but played rubbish (no surprises there then, but probably a very young team, again):

Sam Vokes raced to Wales' rescue as Group Four minnows Azerbaijan had looked set to humiliate John Toshack's team. Wales' Jason Koumas had earlier missed a penalty against the ten-man Azeri. Hardly 18,000 fans were scattered around the 74,000-capacity Millennium Stadium and Wales' frustrating performance in Cardiff would do little to attract new friends.

Scotland lost to Macedonia (shame):

Scotland lacked cool heads as they lost their opening World Cup qualifier against Macedonia on a baking hot afternoon in Skopje. A poor Scotland side conceded a goal five minutes into manager George Burley's first competitive match.
